The 2024 Melon Music Awards (MMA) has officially announced its date and venue, and fans can’t wait to see their favorite artists take the stage.
On September 4, Kakao Entertainment’s music streaming service, Melon, announced that the 16th Melon Music Awards (MMA) will take place on November 30 at the INSPIRE ARENA.
INSPIRE ARENA, Korea’s first multipurpose indoor venue, offers a world-class experience with a 15,000 capacity.
Jang Yoon Joong, the CEO of Kakao Entertainment shared his thoughts saying, “Melon has led the domestic music industry as the ‘main base’ of K-pop over the past 20 years, creating the current global K-pop craze. Through MMA 2024, we will not only honorably commemorate the representative achievements of artists this year with music fans, but also showcase new visions and futures of K-pop, so we ask for your keen expectations and interest.”
For the second year in a row, Kakao Bank will serve as the title sponsor for the Melon Music Awards (MMA). As the premier music awards ceremony and festival in Korea, MMA recognizes and celebrates artists’ outstanding achievements over the past year, using Melon’s data-driven insights, user votes, and expert critiques.
Since its inception in 2005 as an online event, MMA became a grand offline spectacle in 2009. This year’s ‘MMA 2024’ edition is themed ‘New Stream of K-POP’.
Melon is hosting some exciting events leading up to the big ceremony. This includes a showcase of past MMA performances and ticket giveaways. Fans can also participate in TOP10 and category voting. All updates and announcements will be posted on the official Melon MMA2024 page.
