2NE1 Reunion in the Works? Group Meets with Yang Hyun Suk to Discuss Comeback

2NE1 Comeback

2NE1 is expected to meet fans soon with long-awaited, new music.

The group has been teasing fans with clues. Previously, on the group’s 15th anniversary in May, rumors were circulating that the leader CL had a meeting with YG’s Yang Hyun Suk to possibly talk about a comeback.

Once again, there have been reports that the group members will meet Yang Hyun Suk to talk about their comeback.

In response to the rumors, YG Entertainment confirmed their meeting to Newsen, stating, “It is true that the general producer and the members decided to meet. Other than that, there is nothing we can confirm at the moment.”

Earlier, another Korean news outlet OSEN reported that the four 2NE1 members and YG’s executive producer are set to have a face-to-face meeting soon to talk about the comeback.

CL, the leader of 2NE1, had dinner with Yang Hyun Suk in May, however, YG Entertainment clarified that it was an informal meeting, not an official company meeting.

On May 17, 2NE1 celebrated their 15th debut anniversary, and a group photo featuring CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Gong Minzy was released. This is the first group photo since their appearance at Coachella in 2022.

Lastly, 2NE1 debuted in 2009 under YG Entertainment and disbanded in November 2016. All members of 2NE1 also left YG and are now pursuing solo careers with different agencies.
