2NE1’s Park Bom Accuses Bandmate Sandara Park and YG of Framing Her in Adderall Case

Park Bom of 2NE1 has reignited a 16-year-old controversy with a handwritten letter posted to social media. The 41-year-old K-pop star made explosive allegations against fellow member Sandara Park, her former agency YG Entertainment, producer Teddy, and even her own bandmate CL.

The letter, addressed “to the citizens,” was posted on March 3 and later deleted after approximately three hours. In it, Park Bom revisits her 2010 Adderall import case and claims she was framed to protect Sandara Park.

Park Bom stated clearly that she is an ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) patient and that Adderall is a prescribed medication, not an illegal narcotic. She wrote that “It is not a drug,” and she is an ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) patient.

She shocked fans by alleging, “Sandara Park was caught for drug use, and to cover that up, they made Park Bom into a drug addict instead.” Park alleges she was used as a scapegoat to divert attention from Sandara’s situation.

She pointed out that at the time of her 2010 import case, “there wasn’t even an established regulation in the country regarding Adderall itself, and strangely, the law was created after the Park Bom incident.”

Park Bom named specific individuals in her letter: “I hope that YG Entertainment, Yang Hyunsuk, Teddy Park, and Lee Chaelin (CL) will not report to the country that Park Bom used more than the prescribed amount of a drug that you yourself have not used once in 30 years.”

In October 2010, Park Bom imported 82 pills of Adderall via international mail into South Korea without a customs declaration or approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

Adderall contains amphetamine and is classified as a psychotropic drug in Korea. The case became public in 2014 and sparked a huge controversy.

Prosecutors at the time confirmed the medication was for treatment purposes and took a prosecution suspension measure, closing the case without charges. Park Bom’s side had apologized for not properly declaring the medication, citing a lack of awareness of customs regulations.

Sandara Park’s agency (Abyss Company) said it is difficult to confirm since her contract expired. Another media outlet reported that Sandara’s side has denied the allegations as “groundless” and said she is concerned for Park Bom’s health.

Park’s agency, D-Nation Entertainment, revealed that the 2NE1 member is in a “highly unstable emotional state.”

This is not the first time Park Bom has made headlines for unusual social media posts.

In October 2025, she posted about filing a fraud and embezzlement lawsuit against Yang Hyunsuk, claiming unpaid earnings from 2NE1 activities estimated at approximately 64.272 trillion won. Her agency later stated that 2NE1 activity settlements were already completed, and no lawsuit was actually filed.

In 2024, she raised allegations about self-proclaimed relationships with actor Lee Minho and settlement issues with her former agency.

Park Bom has suspended all activities since August 2025 to focus on health recovery.
