Kim Seon Ho is coming back with exciting FOUR new dramas! 

The 38-year-old actor has been missing from our TV screens for a bit – his last appearance was in the 2021 romantic comedy Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, opposite Shin Min Ah.

Last year, he made his film debut by starring in director Park Hoon Jung’s thriller movie, The Childe, alongside Kang Tae Ju.

Now, the Two Cops actor is all set to show his range with the four new diverse Kdramas.

From romantic comedies to intense dramas, here are 4 upcoming projects that Kim Seon Ho will be starring in.

The Tyrant

The Tyrant is set to release on Disney+ on August 14, with Kim Seon Ho, Cha Seung Won, and Kim Kang Woo in the lead roles.

The four-episode miniseries is the latest Disney+ original release after the premiere of Impossible Heir, A Shop for Killers, Blood Free, and Uncle Samsik. 

The Tyrant revolves around a rogue South Korean scientist who develops a powerful virus as part of ‘The Tyrant Project’ to boost their country’s global influence, US agents intervene, demanding they hand over the samples. During a secret handover to the US, the bioweapon is stolen, sparking a deadly battle between governments and a black ops team to recover it. 

Kim Seon Ho stars as Director Choe, the project’s leader, while Kim Kang Woo plays US agent Paul.

When Life Gives You Tangerines

When Life Gives You Tangerines (working title) is an upcoming Netflix Romance Kdrama, starring IU and Park Bo Gum. 

While IU and Park Bo Gum are leading the drama, Kim Seon Ho and the Hospital Playlist star Lee Soo Mi are set to make cameos in the drama. The highly-awaited drama is scheduled to premiere in 2025 on Netflix in 190 countries.

In When Life Gives You Tangerines, IU stars as Ae Sun, a strong-willed woman fighting against her fate, while Park Bo Gum plays Gwan-sik, a devoted friend who openly shows his love and support. The story spans years, with Moon So Ri and Park Hae Joon appearing as the older Ae Sun and Gwan-sik.

Can This Love Be Translated?

Written by Hong Sisters and directed by Yoo Young Eun, Can This Love Be Translated? (working title) is the most highly-anticipated Kim Seon Ho Kdrama, debuting on Netflix next year.

Previously, photos from the script reading session were released and Kim Seon Ho and Go Yoon Jung recently flew to Japan for filming.

Since the filming has currently been underway for about a month, it is expected that the drama will be released in the first half of 2025.

In the romantic comedy series Can This Love Be Translated?, the storyline follows a multilingual man, Joo Ho Jin, portrayed by Kim Seon Ho, who works as an interpreter fluent in English, Japanese, and Italian. He crosses paths with Go Yoon Jung’s character, Cha Moo Hee, a confident and charming global top actress. 

Their differing views on love lead to amusing misunderstandings as their intentions become lost in translation.

In The Net

In The Net also known as Second Sister features a star-studded cast including Kim Seon Ho, Park Gyu Young, Lee Hong Nae, Lee So E, Song Ji Hyun, and more.

Based on Chan Ho Kei’s detective novel ‘Second Sister’, this thriller is directed by Kim Jee Woon and Park Boram. 

In The Net follows the story of Ai (Park Gyu-young), a young woman reeling from her younger siblings’ tragic death, which was triggered by ruthless online bullying. Desperate for answers, Ai teams up with the enigmatic hacker N (Kim Seon Ho).

As per reports, the production has wrapped up and the drama is expected to premiere this year. However, officials have not confirmed the release date for the drama yet.
