Despite experiencing a personal loss with his recent grandfather’s passing, ATEEZ’s Seonghwa still made sure to be present and perform for ATINYs at the Oakland concert.
The 24-year-old K-pop star lost his grandfather on July 15, after kicking off the North American leg of their world tour, TOWARDS THE LIGHT: WILL TO POWER on July 14.
On July 16, KQ Entertainment broke the news of Seonghwa grandfather’s passing. The agency further announced that she will not participate in the sound check of the Oakland concert, scheduled to be held on July 17 (local time).
On the day of the concert, Seonghwa got teary as he remembered his late grandfather. Attendees cheered for him to show their support and his fellow ATEEZ members also comforted him.
Fans praised him for showing up and performing despite going through a difficult time.
On another note, ATEEZ’s 2024 world tour, ‘TOWARDS THE LIGHT: WILL TO POWER’, kicked off on July 14 in Tacoma, USA, with 13 shows in 10 cities including Oakland, LA, Phoenix, Arlington, Duluth, New York, and more.
