BABYMONSTER’s Rami Takes Health-Related Hiatus, Will Miss Asia Tour

Rami from BABYMONSTER

In a recent announcement, YG Entertainment revealed that BABYMONSTER member Rami will be taking a temporary break from all group activities due to health reasons. The agency stated that the 17-year-old singer will miss the entirety of BABYMONSTER’s upcoming Asia tour “Hello Monsters”. The schedule kicks off in Singapore on May 17 and continues through June.

This is not surprising as she was diagnosed with Pneumothorax during their official debut days. Fans are concerned about her health and are willing to wait for her return. They wish her a speedy recovery and urge her to take ample rest and prioritize her health.

On May 9, YG Entertainment released an official statement, announcing Rami’s hiatus due to poor health. The statement reads

We’d like to inform you that BABYMONSTER member RAMI will not be able to participate in the upcoming Asia tour, which begins with the performance in Singapore on May 17 and continues through the end of June, due to health-related reasons.

Since debut, RAMI has continued her activities while undergoing ongoing treatment and care, motivated by her strong desire to repay fans’ love and support despite facing persistent health issues. However, her condition has not significantly improved, and recently, medical professionals have advised that she suspend all activities and take absolute rest for the time being.

Despite her temporary hiatus due to health concerns, the remaining six members of BABYMONSTER are pushing forward with their upcoming Asia tour. The rookie group, just one year into their career, has been working tirelessly to adapt their performances for the upcoming shows.

They have been putting in extra effort in rehearsals as they restage choreography for six members and prepare special cover performances.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER kicked off their 1st-ever world tour “Hello Monsters” with two-night shows in Seoul in January. As part of their world tour, they have already held concerts in New Jersey, LA, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Yokohama, and Fukuoka.

BABYMONSTER will begin their Asia tour on May 17 with a show in Singapore, Hong Kong (May 24-25), Ho Chi Minh City (May 31), Bangkok (June 7-8), Jakarta (June 14), and more.
