Stray Kids fans are expressing outrage after the group’s leader Bang Chan recently revealed that JYP Entertainment shut down his live streaming channel, Chan’s Room. This news has come as a shock to many fans, as they had been enjoying the live streams and the interaction with Bang Chan for many years.

Chan held a weekly broadcast titled Chan’s Room consistently since 2019. In those weekly live, he sang his favorite songs or the ones recommended by STAYs, replied to their comments, and gave valuable life advices.

Bang Chan has not been doing his weekly live sessions since May 2023. It is possible that the incident that occurred on his last live could be the reason why Bang Chan was asked to shut down Chan’s Room. Bang Chan shared his experience at Music Bank in Paris during the last episode and mentioned that some fellow idols do not greet others.

It is not the first time Chan has talked about lack of greetings from fellow idols without mentioning any specific idols. However, netizens have made assumptions about who he is referring to, with IVE being one of the names suggested. Although Bang Chan did not pin-point anyone, this discussion led to some idols being harshly judged, while Bang Chan was commended for his transparency.

On May 17, Bang Chan took to Instagram to apologize for his comments and promised to be more careful in the future. It has been more than a couple of months since the Chan’s Room went on indefinite hiatus.

In a recent clip shared by fan at a fanmeeting, Bang Chan revealed that he wishes to do Chan’s Room, but his company has prohibited him from doing so.

I can’t do Chan’s Room anymore. So, ummm, I want to actually, but the company says no.

Understandably, STAYs were outraged by the JYP Entertainment’s decision to shut down Chan’s Room. The decision to shut down Chan’s Room has sparked debate among fans, with some feeling that it was an unfair move by the management. Many fans believe that Bang Chan had been providing a valuable service by allowing them to connect with him and the group in a more personal setting. They felt that the channel was a great way for fans to get to know the Stray Kid member better.

Regardless of the reason, fans are still expressing their disappointment at the news and have been sending messages of support to Bang Chan. Many are hoping that he will still be able to hold live streams and fan meetings in the future.
