BIGHIT MUSIC Addresses BTS SUGA’s Alleged Drunk Driving Incident

SUGA from BTS

Seoul’s Yongsan Police Station is investigating SUGA, a member of the K-pop group BTS, for allegedly riding an electric kickboard while intoxicated.

On August 6, the Haegeum rapper was found in Yongsan-gu after falling off the kickboard. He is being charged with violating the Road Traffic Act, specifically for drunk driving.

When a police officer helped Suga after he fell, the officer detected the smell of alcohol. The officer then took the BTS rapper to a nearby police station.

Since the reports spread like wildfire, BIGHIT MUSIC addressed the allegations to iMBC Entertainment on August 7, stating, “We are looking into the reports on SUGA’s electric kickboard drunk driving incident.”

BIGHIT MUSIC will release an official statement later and address the drunk driving allegations in detail.

On another note, SUGA began his military service in March at the Nonsan Training Center in South Chungcheong Province, where he completed his basic training. He is now fulfilling his duties as a social service worker and is scheduled to be discharged in June 2025.
