BIGHIT MUSIC Adjusts Entry Rules for BTS Jin’s In-person Event Following Backlash

BTS Jin

In a swift reversal, BIGHIT MUSIC has revised the entry rules for BTS Jin’s highly anticipated in-person event. This happened After fans voiced their concerns about the initial requirements seeming to benefit those who were willing to purchase extra albums.

On June 2, BIGHIT MUSIC shared on Weverse that the application requirements for Jin’s ‘2024 FESTA‘ offline event will be updated.

They admitted the previous notice lacked clarity and that the application criteria had not been clearly defined in advance.

Following the release of the offline event application notice on June 2 at 11 AM, the label announced plans to update the application criteria. They intend to consider both those who purchased albums and applied for the event, as well as fans with a history of album purchases before the announcement.

They expressed their commitment to ensuring the event reflects Jin’s sentiments and apologized for any inconvenience caused to fans.

Previously, there had been some controversy regarding the eligibility criteria for Jin’s Hug Event. Fans are upset because only customers who bought albums released after Proof through Weverse Shop Global within the application period (June 2-6) were allowed to apply.

Even though Jin suggested this ‘Hug Event’ to prioritize fans, excluding those who purchased previous albums raised concerns of ‘stock theft’.

Fortunately, BIGHIT MUSIC plans to update the application criteria, ensuring the event moves forward smoothly. However, some fans are still unhappy with how the label has handled the situation.
