BLACKPINK Starts Filming New Music Video as Comeback Album Enters Final Stages

BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK is officially coming back — and fans around the world couldn’t be more excited.

On October 20, YG Entertainment finally broke the silence about the upcoming BLACKPINK comeback. As per the formal statement, the 4-member global girl group will begin filming the music video for their new song this week.

BLACKPINK will begin filming their new music video this week. Both the members and staff will do their utmost until the end of the schedule to deliver the best possible result.

The album is currently in its final stages to enhance its musical quality. As soon as preparations are complete, we will share the good news through official promotions.

The confirmation sent BLINKs around the world into celebration mode. This will be BLACKPINK’s first major group release in over three years. Their last group comeback was the 2022 album Born Pink, which dominated charts globally. Not to mention, they released the single “JUMP” when kicking off their world tour, Deadline. However, there have been no full album releases for three years.

For months, fans have been anxiously waiting for official news about BLACKPINK’s comeback. Earlier reports suggested that the group was preparing for a return in October or November 2025. YG chief Yang Hyun Suk himself confirmed a November comeback. Since last week, new reports have emerged that the release might be pushed to December. The delay might be due to the ongoing tour and members’ packed schedules.

YG Entertainment initially responded cautiously to the rumors, saying that “nothing has been decided regarding the group’s comeback.” The agency neither confirmed nor denied the delay, only adding that plans were still being finalized. Now, with the official confirmation that filming is underway and the album in its final stages, it’s clear that BLACKPINK’s long-awaited comeback is finally in motion.

What makes this even more remarkable is that BLACKPINK is pulling this off while still on their massive “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR ‘DEADLINE’.” The tour kicked off in July at Goyang Stadium and spans 16 cities and 33 concerts in Asia, North America, and Europe. It’s their first-ever all-stadium tour and is scheduled to continue through January 2026.

Despite their packed concert schedule, the members — Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa — are reportedly devoting time between tour stops to finish recording and film the new video. Upcoming concerts in Bangkok, Jakarta, and Singapore are expected to draw even more buzz as fans speculate about teasers or previews of the new music.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK resumed the world tour “Deadline” with two sold-out shows in Taiwan on October 18-19. Next, they will head to Bangkok (October 24-26), Jakarta (November 1-2), Manila (November 22-23), and more.
