BLACKPINK has once again made history in the United States, one of the world’s biggest music markets. The quartet, Jisoo, Rosé, Lisa, and Jennie, opened their North American leg of the BLACKPINK World Tour <DEADLINE> in Los Angeles. It marked their first North American group concert in nearly three years.

On July 12 and 13 (local time), BLACKPINK performed at SoFi Stadium, gathering around 100,000 fans over two nights. They became the first female group ever to sell out two consecutive nights at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. BLACKPINK pulled in 78,000 fans across two Goyang shows and another 100,000 in Los Angeles, pushing their total to almost 200,000 for just four shows.

These two shows were a powerful mix of group anthems and dazzling solo performances. BLACKPINK opened with massive hits like Kill This Love, Pink Venom, and How You Like That, and kept the energy high with fan favorites including Pretty Savage, Shut Down, and DDU-DU DDU-DU

The solo stages gave each member a chance to shine in her individual style. Jisoo performed her recent hits earthquake and Your Love. Lisa surprised fans by switching up her solo setlist, performing Thunder, Fxck Up the World, and Lalisa while rocking a bold Louis Vuitton look.

Jennie turned up the heat with performances of Mantra, with the IE (way up), and like JENNIE. Rosé balanced heartbreak and star power with 3am and toxic till the end before bringing the crowd to its feet with her global hit APT

It was made even more special when Bruno Mars joined her onstage for a surprise live duet. Dressed in matching yellow jackets, Rosé and Bruno Mars held handheld microphones, sang together shoulder to shoulder, and hyped up the crowd with their stage presence.

BLACKPINK LA shows were amplified by YG’s top-tier production and a powerful live band. The members moved freely around the huge stage and engaged with fans at every moment.

BTS RM and Suga, as well as KATSEYE’s Yoonchae, Lara, and Megan were spotted at the group’s concerts in LA. Previously, j-hope cheered on BLACKPINK when they opened the world tour in Goyang, South Korea.

After their Los Angeles success, BLACKPINK will continue their tour across North America with shows in Chicago, Toronto, and New York, before heading to Europe and Asia. Additional cities include Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s new digital single “JUMP” is topping iTunes charts in over 60 countries and several global music charts.
