BLACKPINK’s Jennie Announces Full Album “Ruby”, Features Collaborations with Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, and More

BLACKPINK Jennie in album trailer for Ruby

BLACKPINK’s Jennie has finally made the highly-anticipated announcement that BLINKs have been waiting for the longest time.

The 29-year-old singer has announced the full-length album that she had been working on for nearly a year.

On January 22, ODD ATELIER, her personal label dropped the first trailer for the album “Ruby” on all social media platforms. Jennie has generated excitement for her album with the newly released trailer. The BLACKPINK member is seen sporting various breathtaking looks and statement-making red hair.

She has been releasing cryptic teasers for a while now, and finally, the long-awaited announcement has been made.

In addition, the “Ruby” will include collaborations with top artists including Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, Doechii, Kali Uchis, and Dominic Fike. She previously collaborated with Dua Lipa for the BLACKPINK song “Kiss And Make Up”.

In addition, fans are thrilled to listen to her collaborative song with Donald Gambino aka Childish Gambino.

“Ruby” will contain 15 amazing songs including the pre-release single “Mantra”. It is expected that Jennie will drop another song before the full album release in early March.

Previously, she signed with Sony Music Entertainment’s label Columbia Records to manage music releases. The album will be released in partnership with ODD ATELIER and Columbia Records.

In 2018, Jennie made history as the first BLACKPINK member to go solo with her debut single Solo. She then released the digital single “You & Me” in October 2023 and the pre-release single “Mantra” in October last year. “Mantra” was well-received by fans and charted on Billboard HOT 100 for 2 weeks.

Additionally, her OST, One Of The Girls, with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp surpassed 1 billion streams and stayed on the Billboard HOT 100 for months.

The You & Me singer already has shattered numerous streaming records on Spotify, that too, without releasing an album. Moreover, she has the second-highest number of monthly listeners (over 36 million).

After Rosé comeback on December 6, 2024, Jisoo will return on February 14 followed by Lisa releasing her studio album “ALTER EGO” on February 28. Jennie will be the last member to make a solo comeback before resuming BLACKPINK activities. As per the reports, the group is expected to make a comeback in May.

Meanwhile, Jennie will drop her first-ever studio album “Ruby” on March 7. Tracklists, MV teasers, concept photos, and more content will be released in the coming weeks.
