BLACKPINK Jennie Teases Collaboration with Two Major Artists For Upcoming Album

BLACKPINK's Jennie in a new post from Weverse

BLACKPINK’s Jennie is cooking up something special – and she’s not alone!

The 28-year-old singer has been teasing exciting details about her album for a while now. BLINK’s patience is surely running out as they can not wait for her first-ever studio album to be out.

On December 25, she shared a video on her YouTube channel, looking back at her iconic moments in 2024 and sharing what’s ahead.

Jennie revealed that her upcoming single is going to be different from the pre-release single “Mantra”, released on October 11.

The BLACKPINK star shared the time it took to complete her album, saying, “It took me, like, a good 11 months to get to a point where I was, like, we are good, we are ready, and we are going to stop here.”

Jennie expressed that some of her “dream artists” will be featured on the album. The “Solo” singer reveals she is working with two mystery artists, but their names are conveniently censored.

She continued, “There is a little bit of everything for everyone, it’s like a buffet for you guys.”

When asked about fans’ reaction, the singer said, “My hope with my album is that the world gets to see Jennie and her music as it is, like I wouldn’t even be mad if you hate it.”

Jennie kicked off her solo journey in 2018 with the hit single “Solo,” followed by the chart-topping success of “You & Me” and “Mantra”.

2025 is particularly exciting for BLINKs as three BLACKPINK members will drop solo releases. On top of that, they will resume group activities by making a long-awaited comeback and embarking on a world tour.

While Rosé has already dropped her studio album, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa will drop albums in early 2025. Lisa will make her Hollywood debut on February 16, 2025, with the premiere of “The White Lotus” Season 3 followed by the release of the album “ALTER EGO” on February 28.

Jisoo is currently working on her drama “Boyfriend on Demand” (previously known as “Monthly Boyfriend”) and solo comeback. Last but not least, Jennie’s studio album is one of the most highly-anticipated albums by a K-pop solo artist and is predicted to break numerous records.
