BLACKPINK’s Jennie is making history with her solo comeback!

The 28-year-old K-pop idol dropped her hugely-awaited single “Mantra” today (October 11) and it is dominating the domestic and international music charts.

More recently, “Mantra” topped the US iTunes Top Song chart. With this, Jennie became the only K-pop female soloist to score #1 on the US iTunes this year.

Moreover, “Mantra” is her #1 entry on the chart as a soloist and achieved the highest peaking entry by an Asian female act in 2024.

Notably, it surpasses Lisa’s previous records, with “New Woman” featuring Rosalía and “ROCKSTAR” peaking at #2 and #4, respectively.

Jennie has joined fellow BLACKPINK members Jisoo and Rosé as the only female K-pop soloists to top the US iTunes chart.

In addition, “Mantra” topped iTunes in several countries including Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Vietnam, Norway, Peru, Ukraine, Qatar, Taiwan, New Zealand, Cambodia, and more.

The fancy music video featuring scenic locations and an impressive car collection has surpassed 9.3 million views on YouTube.

Regarding domestic music chart performance, “Mantra” is ranking #2 on Bugs, #5 on Genie, #18 on Melon, and #29 on Flo as of 10 PM KST.

On another note, Jennie has begun promotions for the single “Mantra” by recording performances for M Countdown and Show! Music Core. Next, she will take the stage at “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on October 15.
