BLACKPINK’s Jennie Clears the Air About New Solo Fandom Name

Jennie

In response to fan inquiries, BLACKPINK member Jennie has addressed and resolved the misunderstanding surrounding the solo fandom name.

On September 19, the 28-year-old K-pop star shared an audio message on her official website, affectionately addressing fans as “RUBIES” and promising, “See you soon!”

After this, fans believed that she had announced her solo fandom name, RUBY.

A few hours later, her label ODD ATELIER cleared the misunderstanding, stating, “We only arbitrarily referred to fans on the news page that informs fans, not an official announcement of the fandom name.” They emphasized that it’s not the official fandom name.

After the rumors circulated that RUBY would be Jennie’s official fandom name, this caused confusion since Kwon Eunbi’s fans are already known by the same name.

On the work front, she is gearing up for an October release after partnering with Columbia Records, a label under Sony Music. After releasing her debut album, she will resume BLACKPINK activities next year.
