BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Prepares for February Comeback; Agency Responds

Jisoo From BLACKPINK

February is shaping up to be a huge month for BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. She is making an acting comeback with the Coupang Play series “Newtopia”, set for February 7.

That’s not all, the BLACKPINK vocalist is also reportedly making her solo music comeback in February, although her agency hasn’t confirmed the exact details yet. This will be her first solo music release since her debut single album “Me” in March 2023.

On January 10, Jisoo is gearing up for a long-awaited solo comeback after 2 years, according to an exclusive report by OSEN.

In response, her personal label BLISSOO told the media outlet, “It’s difficult to confirm.”

In March 2023, the title track “Flower” grabbed attention and sparked the viral “Flower Challenge” trend. The song earned her 9 music show awards.

As the last member of BLACKPINK to make a solo comeback, expectations are high for her upcoming release.

Prior to her solo music comeback, Jisoo will play the role of Yong Joo alongside Park Jeong Min’s in this K-zombie comedy “Newtopia” directed by Yoon Sung-hyun. This marks her first acting project in approximately 3 years, following her appearance in JTBC’s “Snowdrop”.

Jisoo will appear in the MBC drama “Boyfriend on Demand” and the movie “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” following “Newtopia”.

Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé have already dropped their solo releases so far. Jennie released “Mantra” in October 2024 and is preparing to release another single and album soon. Lisa released “Rockstar”, “New Woman” and “Moonlit Floor” last year, with an album release scheduled for February 28.

In December 2024, Rosé dropped her full-length album “rosie” with the pre-release single “APT.” and the title track “toxic till the end”.

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment’s executive producer Yang Hyun Suk previously confirmed BLACKPINK’s comeback and world tour for this year. As per reports, the group will make a comeback in May.
