BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Reveals Plans for Next Solo Music Release

Jisoo from BLACKPINK

Jisoo’s schedule is packed with two high-profile projects: the upcoming drama Influenza and the movie Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.

Just because she’s delved into acting doesn’t mean she’s overlooked her main job as a singer.

On July 7, the Flower singer revealed her plans for a solo music release on Bubble, stating, “[Influenza] filming is nearing its end!!! Although rain is the problem, I will cheer up until the end.”

Regarding her upcoming music, Jisoo revealed, “After filming is done, I will work hard to prepare so that I can meet BLINKs again soon.”

When Jisoo was announced as the new face of Self Portrait, it was also revealed that she was in the process of creating new music.

Filming for Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is wrapped up, while Zombie drama Influenza is still being filmed.

Jisoo made her debut as a soloist with the single album, ME, on March 31, 2023. It featured two tracks, Flower and All Eyes On Me, which broke multiple records.

It recorded 1.03 million copies sold within 2 days, becoming the best-selling album by a female K-pop soloist ever to achieve a million-seller status. Therefore, expectations are high that her new music is going to set new records.

On another note, all BLACKPINK members are focusing on solo activities, therefore, it is unlikely that a group project or album will be released this year. Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are all working on their debut albums, and Lisa already has released a solo single, ROCKSTAR.
