The music video for Pink Venom, a song from BLACKPINK’s 2nd full-length album, has now reached over 800 million views on YouTube.
On January 28, YG Entertainment announced that BLACKPINK’s Pink Venom music video hit a whopping 800 million views on YouTube at 4:57 on 27th of January.
It’s been about a year and five months since its release on August 19, 2022, and now it’s the 12th video to reach that milestone.
At the time of release, Pink Venom gained a mind-blowing 90.4 million views on YouTube within just 24 hours. BLACKPINK continued to break records by reaching 100 million views in the fastest time ever for a K-pop girl group, taking only 29 hours and 35 minutes. The song even surpassed 200 million views in just 7 and a half days.
As soon as Pink Venom dropped, it skyrocketed to the number one spot on iTunes in a whopping 81 countries. It dominated the U.S. Billboard Global 200 chart for two weeks straight and held the top spot on the Billboard Global chart for three consecutive weeks.
The song even made it to the 22nd spot on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Chart.
BLACKPINK’s official channel now has a staggering 92.81 million subscribers, making them the top-ranked artist in the world, not just in K-pop. They’ve got a total of 45 videos with hundreds of millions of views, and their content has accumulated an unbelievable 345.9 billion views overall.
They’re definitely earning the title of ‘YouTube Queen’ by continuously breaking records and setting new milestones.
In December last year, BLACKPINK girls renewed group contract with YG Entertainment and opted out of renewing individual contracts with the agency.
