BLACKPINK’s Rosé Achieves Her Highest First-Day Sales with Studio Album “rosie”

BLACKPINK’s Rosé is making history with her latest studio album “rosie“!

The 27-year-old singer has achieved her highest first-day sales to date. “Rosie ” was released on all music platforms on December 6, along with the music video for the lead single, “Toxic Till The End.”

According to Hanteo, Rosé’s debut solo album “rosie” sold 316,963 copies on the first day. “rosie” has achieved higher first-day sales than her 2021 debut single “R”. The debut single, containing two tracks (“On The Ground” and “Gone”) recorded 282,674 copies on debut day.

In addition, Rosé “rosie” has secured 4th place in the highest 1st-day sales by female soloists. She is surpassed by Jisoo’s “ME” (876,249), Jihyo’s “ZONE” (361,104), and Lisa’s “LALISA” (330,129). 

Meanwhile, Rosé’s single “R” remains at number 6 on the list of highest first-day sales by female soloists.

Rosé’s title track “toxic till the end” is her personal heartbreak story put to music and the MV is already closing in on 10 million views. The music video stars “Gossip Girl” actor Evan Mock as “The Ex.”

Her debut album “rosie” features 12 tracks, including the previously released singles “APT.” (October 18) and “number one girl” (November 22). This album is especially meaningful, with Rosé sharing her own honest and intimate stories through songs she wrote and composed herself.

After releasing her solo album, she will continue promoting as a solo artist and likely release another song “Vampirehollie” in the future. The remaining BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa have also teased album releases sooner than expected. Lisa has already announced the release date for her debut album “ALTER EGO.”

BLINKs will get to see BLACKPINK make a comeback and perform on stage next year. They will regroup and resume group activities after dropping solo releases.
