After making a lively stop at Charli XCX’s Brooklyn concert just yesterday where she enthusiastically performed the viral “Apple” dance, Rosé shifted her focus to fashion’s biggest night.
The Met Gala 2025 red carpet got a dose of effortless chic when BLACKPINK’s Rosé arrived in a perfectly tailored Saint Laurent tuxedo. The K-pop star and longtime YSL muse chose an understated yet powerful look that stood out among more elaborate ensembles.
She worked closely with creative director Anthony Vaccarello to create a modern interpretation of the house’s signature aesthetic.
The ensemble featured a precisely cut black wool tuxedo jacket with satin lapels, paired with slim-fit trousers. A dramatic floor-length cape added movement to the otherwise structured look, nodding to Saint Laurent’s history of bold evening wear. Rosé accessorized minimally with black patent loafers and delicate jewelry from Tiffany & Co.
As for jewelry, the BLACKPINK star wore an exquisite platinum and gold necklace from Tiffany’s High Jewelry collection. It features a gorgeous cushion-cut natural sapphire surrounded by sparkling round sapphires and diamonds.
She completed the look with an equally breathtaking Tiffany ring – an oval sapphire paired with brilliant and baguette-cut diamonds.
Staying true to the “Tailored For You” theme, she delivered one of the night’s most talked about looks. Along with her, Jennie and Lisa also walked the iconic Met steps in stunning ensembles. While Jennie and Rosé already made their Met Gala debuts, it was Lisa’s first time attending the fashion’s biggest event of the year.
Back in 2021, the “APT.” singer made her Met Gala debut in a stunning black Saint Laurent mini-dress with a large bow.
Rosé expressed excitement about reuniting with BLACKPINK girls, “It’s the best feeling, the last time I came, I was by myself, so I am really really excited to meet the girls. I was just with them in the studio in Korea. It’s just nice to have family here.”
She also explained the look, “I am wearing Anthony Vaccarello. I am wearing a tailor-made tuxedo, one of the most iconic pieces in YSL wardrobe. So I was really excited because he specifically made this tuxedo fit for this look.”
Regarding the BLACKPINK tour and comeback, she said, “We got new music coming out, so I feel like that’s gonna be a whole different approach to how we storytell this next tour.”
This look continues Rosé’s streak of killer Saint Laurent moments. As one of the few K-pop stars who keeps getting invited back to the Met, she’s definitely earned her spot as a true fashion favorite.
Back in Seoul, BLACKPINK girls have begun preparations for their reported June comeback. In July, they will embark on a historic tour, touring major cities worldwide and performing at stadium-level arenas.
