Following the HYBE-ADOR conflict, proof of Dahn World’s association with HYBE groups emerged. As rumors spread, BIGHIT MUSIC refuted any connections to the group and declared plans to take legal action against those spreading false information.

On April 28, they announced that they would be appointing another law firm to pursue legal actions to protect the rights and interests of BTS.

Two months later, on June 28, they shared a lengthy statement to give fans an update on the legal proceedings.

BIGHIT revealed that they have been continuously filing complaints against authors of malicious posts, “This quarter, we have continued to gather evidence of activities violating the artist’s rights, including personal attacks and defamation, through the fan reports and our internal monitoring system.”

BIGHIT MUSIC Denies BTS’ Ties to Dahn World

Once again, the agency raised the issue of cult accusations and directly confronted them, stating, “We want to clarify once again that there is no connection between BIGHIT MUSIC and BTS, and Body & Brain. Circulating rumors alleging the artists’ or the artist lyrics’ association with Body & Brain are fictitious.”

They demanded the organization to not use content related to BTS, “Upon discovering Body & Brain’s illegal use of BTS’s intellectual property rights, we promptly demanded the removal of the content in question.”

The Body & Mind agency committed to not using any unauthorized content in the future.

They vowed to take legal action against Body & Brain if they illegally use BTS Content to protect the artists’ intellectual property rights.

BIGHIT MUSIC also announced that in February, they sent a cease and desist notice to Global Cyber University, demanding that they stop using BTS’ intellectual property without permission.

BIGHIT MUSIC Refutes Chart-rigging Allegations

The agency also briefly commented on the chart-rigging allegations made against BTS, “We also want to make clear that rumors of surreptitious chart manipulation and unethical marketing are a product of fabrication and completely unrelated to the artist.”

BIGHIT MUSIC Filed Criminal and Civil Lawsuits Against Sojang

After Jang Wonyoung, ATEEZ, and Kang Daniel, BTS has filed civil and criminal lawsuits against cyber wreckers, particularly the YouTube channel Sojang.

The agency shared, “In 2022, we litigated against 탈덕수용소 [Sojang] for defamation and obstruction of business and the investigative agency had previously decided to suspend the investigation.”

The agency’s persistent efforts have led to the reopening of the cases against Sojang, after the agency provided personal information about Sojang to the investigative agency and requested the investigation to be resumed, which is now ongoing.

They revealed filing an additional civil lawsuit earlier this year, seeking compensation for defamation and other unlawful actions committed by Sojang, with a trial expected to commence shortly.

Lastly, BIGHIT MUSIC revealed that previous complaints have been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office, and suspects are awaiting trial. They will persist in pursuing legal action against malicious posts about BTS members, even during their military service without any leniency.
