BTS Fans Defend Jimin Amid Rumors of Receiving Special Treatment from Agency’s New CEO

BTS Jimin and Shin Seon Jeong

Controversy has erupted among BTS fans after antis accused Jimin of having an unusually close relationship with BIGHIT MUSIC’s newly appointed CEO.

On November 26, Shin Seon Jeong took over as the new CEO of BIGHIT MUSIC, home to TXT and BTS. She replaced Shin Young Jae who has now become CEO of HYBE Asia APAC.

Shin was one of the original 10 employees of Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE). She joined the label in 2010 and has been with BTS members since pre-debut. She formerly served as General manager of BIGHIT MUSIC and head of the Training & Development (T&D) department.

Particularly, Shin Seon Jeong played a key role in the formation of BTS and fought hard for Jimin to be on the team. Her past interview with RM is going viral again after her recent appointment as CEO where he is seen crediting her for making Jimin stay in the team.

RM called her “one of the two guardian angels who kept Jimin in the group.” He said it was the right decision she made as it would have been a disaster without Jimin. The new CEO also incorporated RM’s methods into selecting trainees and developing them.

Allegations of favoritism have been made by some antis and solo stans against the new CEO of BTS’s management team. They opine that she will prioritize Jimin and provide him with more opportunities. Even “Jungkook Leave HYBE” is currently trending on X after the appointment of a new CEO.

A past interview of Jimin on “You Quiz on the Block” has resurfaced where he seemingly mentions the new CEO, saying, “It was someone from the recruiting team, she stayed up for my late night practice.”

BTS fans have come to the defense of Shin Seon Jeong, the newly appointed CEO of the group’s management team. Amid allegations of favoritism towards Jimin, fans argue that Shin’s appointment is a positive move, citing her long history with the group and her genuine affection for the members.
