BTS’ j-hope and BLACKPINK’s Jennie to Release New Music Tomorrow

BTS j-hope and BLACKPINK's Jennie

Tomorrow, two K-pop superstars, BTS’ J-Hope and BLACKPINK’s Jennie, are releasing new music.

The duo is set to release new music on the same day, March 7, and fans are excited to see how their different styles will clash. While the BTS rapper is releasing a digital single, the BLACKPINK star is releasing her first solo studio album 8 years after her debut with the group.

j-hope’s digital single “Sweet Dreams” featuring Miguel and Jennie’s 15-track solo album “Ruby” will both be available on the same day, March 7.

Following his military discharge in October last year, the “Chicken Noodle Soup” rapper is set to unveil his first new music. The song was first previewed during his ‘HOPE ON STAGE in SEOUL’ concert, held at KSPO DOME in Seoul from February 28 to March 2.

He will now emabark on a North American tour after the release of the song this month. j-hope’s new song is a departure from his usual hip-hop style. It’s a pop R&B track that highlights his smooth vocals, with no rap. The choreography is also more laid-back, with a focus on natural body movements that follow the beat.

On the other hand, Jennie’s title track (“Like JENNIE”) from her album “Ruby” sounds different from her previously released songs. Instead, she has chosen a more intense hip-hop genre for the title track. An album sampler video posted on her official YouTube channel last month gave fans a glimpse of what’s to come. The video included a 16-second clip of the title track, “Like JENNIE”.

It is a hip-hop track, similar to her previous release “ExtraL‘” with Doechii. However, this song takes it up a notch with a more extravagant bass and composition. The chorus vocals are also more complex, setting it apart from her earlier releases like “Mantra”, “ZEN”, and “Love Hangover”.

Both Jennie and j-hope follow different ways of expressing themselves through music. There’s not long left when their songs will hit music platforms. So, what are your expectations from their new music, write your thoughts in the comments below.
