J-Hope of BTS has released the highlight medley to give fans a sneak peek into his upcoming album, HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1.

According to the highlight medley released on BTS’ official channel on February 27, the album features some amazing collaborations.

The title song is called NEURON and it’s a collaboration with Gaeko and Yoon Mi-rae. The album also includes on the street (solo version), i wonder… featuring Jungkook of BTS, lock / unlock with Benny Blanco and Nile Rodgers, i don’t know featuring Huh Yunjin of LE SSERAFIM, and What if… (dance mix with JINBO the SuperFreak).

The first track on J-Hope’s album is his solo version of on the street featuring J.Cole, which was released in March last year. i wonder is a fan song with a catchy electro-funk sound, where J-Hope shares a heartfelt message about enjoying every moment together. It’s even more special because BTS’ Jungkook participated in the feature.

lock / unlock is a song that explores the concept of maintaining boundaries between people, using dance terms like ‘control’, ‘break’, and ‘step’. i don’t know is a minimal house genre song that showcases J-Hope’s calm sensibility. LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin collaborated with the BTS rapper on this song.

Also, the album includes a dance remix of What if… from J-Hope’s first solo album Jack In The Box.

The final track on J-Hope’s album is the title song NEURON. The word NEURON refers to both the cells in our brain that transmit information and the dance crew that J-Hope used to be a part of before his debut. The song is influenced by old-school hip-hop from the 2000s, which had a big impact on J-Hope.

It’s all about his musical roots, his motivation in life, and his excitement for a fresh start. To make it even more exciting, Dynamic Duo’s Gaeko and Yoon Mirae are featured in the song.

Not only did the Chicken Noodle Soup rapper collaborate with top Korean musicians, but he also got to work with American producers like Benny Blanco and Nile Rodgers. Fans are excited to see these international collaborations coming together in his new album.

Lastly, J-Hope will be releasing a special album called HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1 worldwide on March 29 at 1 PM.
