J-Hope in the military

More recently, the current status of BTS’ J-Hope in the military was revealed. The Arson rapper is currently serving as an Instructor or Discipline assistant.

On November 29, a photo was shared online showing J-Hope at a graduation ceremony for trainees during his military service. In the newly surfaced photo, the BTS rapper was seen sporting a red cap and fans noticed name tags like “Republic of Korea Army” and “Instructor” on his military uniform.

After entering the Army’s 36th Division recruit training center in Gangwon-do on April 18, he was selected as a teaching assistant. He even left a greeting on Weverse, a fan community platform, sharing his excitement about the appointment.

Last October, J-Hope shared the news of being selected as a special fighter, following in Jin’s footsteps.

On Weverse, he mentioned that being a special fighter comes with a lot of pressure as they guide and support young Koreans in their military journey. He expressed how meaningful this role is to him, comparing it to his activities with BTS.

The Chicken Noodle Soup rapper is set to be discharged on October 17th next year. As for the remaining members (V, RM, Jungkook, and Jimin) of BTS, they will also have to fulfill their mandatory military service soon.
