BTS’ Jin Effect: ‘Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island’ Achieves its Highest Viewership Ratings Yet

BTS Jin on Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island

BTS star Jin’s appearance on Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island has shattered the show’s ratings record. The episode featuring Jin, which aired on August 19, broke the show’s own highest ratings.

According to Nielsen Korea, the MBC entertainment show Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island achieved a record-breaking viewership rating of 6.4% nationwide on August 19. This is the show’s 15th consecutive week as the number-one entertainment program in its time slot, across all channels.

Additionally, it ranked first among Monday entertainment programs and also topped the charts among viewers aged 20-49.

On August 19, global superstar Jin from BTS and Sandeul from B1A4 made a special appearance on the show filmed on a remote island, joining CEO Ahn Jung Hwan and the cast as workers.

Jin, making his first TV appearance on Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island since his discharge from the military, was excited to catch a huge fish, just like the ‘Super Tuna’ in his song.

The Astronaut singer has been working tirelessly shooting content, filming variety shows, and working on new music after completing his military service.

On the work front, Jin is set to release his debut album in 2nd half of this year.
