BTS Jin has unleashed his ‘Happy’ vibes, and the numbers are smiling back!

On November 15, the 31-year-old made his solo comeback with his debut mini-album “Happy.” As expected, the album shattered multiple sales records and dominated the international and domestic charts.

According to the Hanteo chart, Jin’s debut album “Happy” sold 845,690 copies on its first day. With this, he achieved the 2nd-highest 1st-day sales of 2024 by a K-pop soloist, only surpassed by Baekhyun’s “Hello, World” (893,214).

This sales figure indicates a notable increase compared to the sales of his solo debut single “The Astronaut.”

He made his solo debut with a collaborative single “The Astronaut” with British Rock band The Coldplay before his military enlistment in October 2022. The single sold 700,954 copies and debuted at No. 51 on the Billboard HOT 100.

On the other hand, “Happy” hit #1 on the Worldwide and European iTunes album charts. In addition, he simultaneously charted all songs in the top 10 of Worldwide iTunes Song including “Running Wild” (#1), “I’ll Be There” (#4), “Another Level” (#6), “Falling” (#7), “I’ll come to you” (8), “Heart on the Window” (9).

Plus, it topped iTunes charts in 60+ countries including Australia, Chile, Brazil, Denmark, France, Spain, Russia, Japan, Mexico, Turkey, Ukraine, Thailand, and more.

The album is expected to achieve million-seller status in the coming days. Also, the title track, “Running Wild,” is predicted to secure a coveted spot on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Jin is set to begin promoting his upcoming album, “Happy,” with appearances on various variety and web entertainment shows. He will also guest on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on November 20.
