BTS has officially confirmed their long-awaited full-group comeback and a massive world tour set for Spring 2026. The K-pop boy band made the announcement during their first-ever OT7 Weverse Live since beginning their mandatory military service

On July 1, BTS delighted fans by hosting their first surprise full-group Weverse Live since September 2022. It made ARMYs emotional and overjoyed to see OT7 together after almost three years.

Despite no prior announcements, more than 6 million fans tuned it to witness the BTS reunion. The over 30-minute long live broadcast was wonderfully chaotic, filled with laughter, spoilers, and the genuine warmth of their friendship.

During the live broadcast, BTS leader RM (Kim Namjoon) shared, “Starting July, we’ll be near each other more and work on our album. And when will the album come out?” Fellow member V (Kim Taehyung) excitedly responded, “Next year spring!

This marks BTS’s first full-group project since their temporary hiatus for military enlistment, which began in 2022. Their last release was the first anthology album ‘Proof,’ dropped in June 2022. All seven members — RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have completed their service by June 2025.

The group also teased details about their global tour. RM hinted, “And so, next spring, we will try to do the world tour. If we do the world tour next year, that will be seven years later.” BTS’s last full-scale tour, “Permission to Dance on Stage,” wrapped up in 2022 and attracted over four million fans worldwide (offline and online). It set new attendance records at stadiums across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

As revealed in the broadcast, BTS will begin recording their new album in the U.S. starting in July 2025. The members emphasized that the upcoming album will reflect each of their individual thoughts and creative ideas — much like their early work that first won them millions of fans around the globe.

We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started, BTS stated. They asked fans to look forward to their tour, “We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are.”

Previously, both Yonhap News and The Korea Herald reported that BTS would make their full-group return in March 2026. Now, the confirmation has come straight from the source, with BTS members themselves announcing their plans for a Spring 2026 comeback and world tour.

The upcoming album and tour are expected to boost BTS’s already staggering impact on the global music industry. Since debuting in 2013 under Bighit Music (now HYBE Labels), BTS has shattered countless records, from being the first Korean act to top the Billboard Hot 100 to selling out multiple nights at iconic venues.

HYBE has not yet revealed exact dates or tour stops, but industry insiders expect an official announcement by early 2026. If BTS follows previous patterns, fans can look forward to stadium shows across North America, Europe, Asia, and potentially new markets in South America, India, and the Middle East.

In other news, BTS will drop the live concert album ‘Permission to Dance On Stage – LIVE” on July 18. Pre-orders began today.
