BTS’ SUGA Apologizes to Fans Again for DUI Incident in a Handwritten Letter

BTS SUGA at the Yongsan Police Station

BTS SUGA offers his sincerest apologies to ARMYs and is deeply reflecting on his actions.

On August 25, the 31-year-old K-pop star took to Weverse to share a handwritten letter, apologizing for hurting and disappointing fans with his actions.

With a sense of shame, I would like to offer my sincere apologies to everyone once again.

I deeply apologize for disappointing and hurting the fans and everyone who has loved and supported me due to my misbehavior.

I failed to uphold the responsibility to repay the love I have received with appropriate behavior and committed a serious mistake.

On the night of August 6, I made the mistake of riding an electric scooter to home on the sidewalk after drinking.

Additionally, I apologize for causing much confusion with the first apology statement that I hastily posted on the 7th.

I should have thought more deeply and been more cautious, but I failed to do so.

All of this is my fault. My thoughtlessness has caused difficulties for everyone who cares about me.

I will strive to ensure that I do not repeat such wrongful actions and will live with remorse.

Because of this incident, I have left a significant stain on the precious memories I have made with the members and fans and have brought disgrace to the name of BTS.

I am deeply sorry and inexpressibly pained for having caused harm to the team and the members.

I am sorry to the members who have always trusted me and now have to go through a difficult time because of me.

I also fully understand the disappointment felt by the fans who have supported and cheered for me.

I am only filled with regret and apology towards the fans who have always given me overwhelming love despite my shortcomings.

I know that no words can heal the wounds and disappointment felt by the fans, and I am deeply regretful, reflecting with a heavy heart every day.

Once again, I sincerely apologize to all the fans who were hurt because of me.
