BTS’ V, also known as Kim Taehyung, is currently serving in the Chuncheon 2nd Corps Ssangyong Unit.
On February 8th, V headed to the 2nd Army Corps in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do and joined his unit. He will be serving in the 2nd Corps as part of a special detachment under the Military Police Corps directly affiliated with the headquarters.
On that day, V’s movement was captured, showcasing his dignified presence in a military uniform and a well-fitted beret. His strong gaze remained unchanged, capturing attention with his undeniable charisma.
V applied to join the Special Mission Team (SDT) of the Capital Defense Command and successfully passed all the required steps, including submitting documents, going through an interview, and passing the physical fitness test. Then, last December, he began his training at boot camp.
V and RM received five weeks of basic military training together at the recruit training center. Not only that, but V also completed three weeks of post-secondary training at the Army Comprehensive Administrative School.
He was even selected as one of the elite trainees at the training center, ranking in the top 5 out of 200. His outstanding educational performance and exemplary military service were recognized.
All the BTS members are currently carrying out their mandatory military service. Jin and J-Hope are serving as teaching assistants, while SUGA is fulfilling his military service as a social worker. RM has been assigned to the 15th Infantry Division, and Jimin and Jungkook will be assigned to the 5th Infantry Division to continue their military service.
