BTS’ V, BLACKPINK’s Rosé, and TWICE to Release New Music on the Same Day

BTS V, BLACKPINK Rosé, and TWICE

It’s about to be a musical showdown as BTS’ V, BLACKPINK’s Rosé, and TWICE all gear up to release new music on the same day.

However, not all fans are celebrating. The overlapping release date has stirred up mixed reactions from fans. Some are excited about getting three new tracks at once, while others are concerned about divided attention and competition.

Nonetheless, December 6 is going to be a big day for K-pop fans, with new music from BTS’ V, BLACKPINK’s Rosé, and TWICE.

BTS V & Bing Crosby “White Christmas”

BTS V has been consistently releasing songs on Christmas for the past four years. The 28-year-old singer is set to release a duet of the classic song “White Christmas” with the late Bing Crosby on December 6 at 2 PM worldwide.

Originally released in 1942, “White Christmas” remains a beloved song for the holiday season. For this collaboration, V reinterpreted a portion of the song, infusing it with his own contemporary style.

Bing Crosby’s song, “White Christmas,” will be released for the first time in 47 years, following his 1977 collaboration with David Bowie. Although “White Christmas” has been covered by numerous artists, this is the first time it features another artist.

V is an admirer of the legendary singer and previously covered his hit song “It’s Been a Long, Long Time.”

BLACKPINK’s Rosé Debut Studio Album “rosie”

BLACKPINK Rosé debuted as a soloist in 2021 with the single “R” containing two tracks “On The Ground” and “Gone.” She focused on BLACKPINK activities until 2024 when she began pursuing solo projects alongside other group members.

After signing with Atlantic Records, Rosé announced the debut studio album “rosie,” available to stream on December 6. In several interviews, the 27-year-old singer revealed that the album tells her personal heartbreaking stories and experiences of the past 3-4 years.

She has already raised expectations with the pre-release of the single “APT.” with Bruno Mars on October 18. The song is dominating Spotify, iTunes, Billboard, and domestic charts.

Rosé scored the highest-charting entry by a K-pop female soloist on Billboard HOT 100 with “APT.”, debuting at No.8.

Another song from her studio album “Vampirehollie” was previously teased on her birthday. The 12-track album “rosie” is predicted to create a major stir on the charts.

TWICE

To cap off the year, TWICE has a special surprise in store for their fans, ONCE. They are returning to the music scene on December 6 with their 14th mini-album “STRATEGY.”

That’s not the main surprise, TWICE has collaborated with American rapper Megan Thee Stallion for the title track “Strategy.” The K-pop girl group teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion on the “Mamushi” remix released on October 25. Now, the 29-year-old American rapper will show her magic in TWICE’s song.

Besides that, they will join Coldplay as guests for his Seoul shows in April 2025.
