V from BTS proved his global popularity once again by becoming the most Googled K-pop star in the first quarter of 2024.
In the first quarter of 2024, V topped Google Worldwide Trends as the most searched K-pop star, maintaining his relevance even during his military service break. Additionally, he was named the most searched star in Asia on Google Trends for both 2021 and 2022.
Google Trends serves as a crucial and reliable metric for gauging popularity through extensive data analysis, widely trusted not just in business marketing but notably in elections as well.
At present, V is taking the spotlight, registering the highest search numbers in numerous countries such as Korea, the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Germany, Japan, Italy, Denmark, Spain, India, and Brazil.
On April 5, V secured the 9th position in the ‘Top 1000 Most Influential Influencers in the World’, not just on Google Trends but also on Instagram, making him the sole Korean artist to break into the top 10. He stands out as the only Asian star in the top 10 in the U.S. and the U.K.
V truly stood out as a solo artist, ranking 4th in the ‘Top Music Influencer’ category, among the most influential musicians globally, following Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and Beyoncé.
After enlisting in the military, V surprised fans with the release of FRI(END)S. Despite no special promotions, the song achieved remarkable success, entering the U.S. Billboard’s Hot 100 at 65 and reaching 13th on the UK’s ‘Official Single Chart Top 100’ for three consecutive weeks.
More recently, V made waves by attending Gangwon FC’s home game in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do on March 31st, drawing significant attention globally and domestically. In 2018, Gangwon FC and the special military police unit under the direct control of the Army 2nd Corps headquarters, where V is serving, signed a partnership agreement.
