BTS’ V to Perform at ‘Tiny Desk Korea’ Concert

BTS V in a teaser for Layover

BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) leads the launch of Tiny Desk Korea, a Korean spin-off of NPR Music’s popular concert series. Hosted by LG U+ Studio X+U, the show features five Korean artists, with V headlining the series. His episode is filmed in Seoul and includes live performances of “Love Me Again,” “Slow Dancing,” and “For Us” from his debut solo mini-album “Layover.”

The performance highlights his soulful tone, supported by a live band that includes a saxophonist featured in the jazzy outro of “Slow Dancing.” Fans praise the set’s intimate atmosphere and V’s smooth vocals throughout the three-song session.

“Layover” is his first solo album, executive produced by Min Hee Jin, known for her work with NewJeans. The album contains six tracks: “Rainy Days” (released August 11), “Blue,” “Love Me Again” (released August 10), “Slow Dancing,” “For Us,” and a piano version of the title track.

Each song receives its own music video, and the album is designed to be experienced in sequence for the full emotional effect.

Ahead of the album’s release, V will promote music video drops with live performances and appearances. The pre-release singles “Love Me Again” and “Rainy Days” were already released, followed by “Slow Dancing” and the full album in early September.

In addition to Tiny Desk Korea, V will appear on music shows such as M Countdown, Music Bank, and Inkigayo. He will also join IU’s Palette and host a fan meeting in Seoul in October.

Meanwhile, the Tiny Desk Korea episode premieres September 14, a week after the release of “Layover.”
