V on NPOP

V (Kim Taehyung) officially confirmed both his upcoming appearance on Naver and Playlist’s newly launched music show NPOP. The BTS member will appear on multiple programs after the release of his debut solo album Layover

The show marked Korea’s first monthly K-pop chart program and was designed to feature a mix of pre-recorded stages and live broadcasts. V is set to perform four tracks from Layover, including its title song Slow Dancing

Naver’s NPOP has a unique format and is set to premiere next week. The show will air pre-recorded performances on the first, second, and third Wednesdays of each month. That’s not it, a live broadcast of 6 artists with upcoming music will air on the fourth Monday of each month.

Interestingly enough, the NPOP Artist of the Month will be announced towards the end of the live broadcast. For the August show, NewJeans will be performing the songs from their second mini-album Get Up. NPOP Naver has announced an exciting lineup for September, including performances from CRAVITY, STAYC, BOYNEXTDOOR, and RIIZE.

Layover, V’s first solo album, was officially announced for release on September 8 through BIGHIT MUSIC, BTS’s label. The album features six tracks, five original songs and one bonus version, blending elements of pop, R&B, and jazz.

The EP features six soulful tracks, two of them already released: Rainy Days, Blue, Love Me Again, Slow Dancing, For Us, and an alternate Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.). Producers such as Frankie Scoca, Freekind, and Jinsu Park contributed to the record.

Ahead of the release, BIGHIT shared a structured promotional timeline that included pre-release singles, music video teasers, and concept photo drops.

On August 10, the first pre-release single, “Love Me Again,” dropped with its music video, followed by “Rainy Days” on August 11. Music video teasers for “Blue” were unveiled on August 22, which added anticipation for the album’s full rollout.

Additionally, V’s earlier solo works—“Scenery,” “Winter Bear,” and “Snow Flower”—were officially added to streaming platforms.

The physical release of Layover is prepared in three distinct versions—Green, Blue, and Purple. Each included photobooks, lyric sheets, postcards, photocards, and a poster, catering to fans eager for collectible editions.
