BTS V, also known as Kim Taehyung, recently made a heartfelt revelation about his late grandmother during his appearance on the popular Korean variety show, “You Quiz on the Block.” The full episode will air on September 6, however, tvN has shared a teaser where V is seen talking about a variety of things, from his solo album (Layover) to his past.
V of BTS was dressed in an all-white ensemble, giving off royal vibes. In the teaser, host Yoo Jae Suk was seen saying ‘it feels a bit like you’re a prince’. Fans could not disagree as V was looking every bit a modern-day prince.
When asked about the past, Taehyung opened up about his cherished memories of his grandmother and the impact she had on his life. During the show, V shared how he wished his grandmother could see how much he has grown as an artist and as a person. He expressed his regret that she couldn’t witness his success and the love he receives from fans worldwide.
Kim Taehyung’s grandma passed away when BTS was in the Philippines. The BTS member revealed on You Quiz on the Block that he was raised by his grandmother and wanted her to see him performing among countless Armys. BTS V further shared “I wanted to show her how much I’ve grown, but it didn’t happen.”
In the wake of his emotional revelation, fans from all around the world expressed their condolences and unwavering support for the singer. Many fans reassured Taehyung that his grandma would be looking down on him with immense pride.
