BTS V has been away from the public eye this year because of his military service, so he has not made any official appearances or been in the news much.

Despite this, he earned the top spot on Google Trends’ most-searched K-pop stars of 2024. According to Google Trends, V was the most searched K-pop star in 71 countries, including major markets like the US, UK, and Japan, out of 79 countries analyzed.

The 29-year-old singer secured the 4th spot in Google Trends’ 2024 rankings of most searched male pop artists worldwide, surpassed only by Drake, Eminem, and Justin Bieber.

He ranked 12th globally among 1990s-born pop artists, alongside music icons Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Harry Styles, and Billie Eilish.

Since BTS debuted on June 13, 2013, until December 16, 2024, the “Winter Ahead” singer has established himself as a top K-pop star by achieving the highest number of searches on Google. In both 2021 and 2022, he was the most searched Asian star on Google Trends.

BTS V’s massive popularity is evident on Wikipedia as well. His English-language page has broken records with over 10 million views, a milestone no other K-pop star has achieved.

In addition, he stood out as the seventh most searched male pop star globally on Wikipedia’s 2024 list and led the pack among K-pop solo artists.

It is quite impressive that he topped the list of most searched K-pop stars globally, even while serving in the military and without any recent public engagements.
