BTS V’s ‘Winter Ahead’ MV Expected to Feature a Steamy Kissing Scene

BTS V in a still from Winter Ahead MV Teaser

Excitement is building among BTS fans as V prepares to drop his latest solo single, “Winter Ahead” (ft. Park Hyo Shin) this Friday.

A music video teaser released on November 25 at midnight has added to the buzz. The MV teaser has become the fastest MV teaser to hit 1 million views, tying with BLACKPINK Lisa’s “ROCKSTAR.”

A steamy kissing scene is rumored to feature in the upcoming MV. If it is true, this would be the group member’s first on-screen kiss ever.

The upcoming “Winter Ahead” MV features scenes shot at the picturesque Château de Saudreville in Villeconin, France. This 17th-18th-century castle is a private property, but portions of it are designated as a historical monument.

In the music video for “Winter Ahead,” V plays the role of Pygmalion from Greek mythology. Pygmalion, disgusted by the immoral behavior of women in his time, vowed to remain celibate and devoted himself to sculpting. He created a stunningly realistic statue of a woman and fell deeply in love with it.

Pygmalion treated the statue as if it were alive, showering it with gifts and affection. During the festival of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, Pygmalion made a wish for a bride who embodied the same qualities as his beloved statue.

To his amazement, when he returned home and kissed the statue, it came to life. Aphrodite had granted his wish, transforming the ivory sculpture into a living, breathing woman.

Fans have to wait till Friday, November 29, to see if the music video will feature a kissing scene between BTS V and the female lead.
