BTS’s Jungkook Sets New Record as the First K-pop Soloist on Billboard Hot 100 for Cumulative 60 Weeks

Jungkook from BTS has been dominating the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a whopping 60 weeks. 

According to the latest Billboard chart released on February 3, Jungkook’s solo track Standing Next to You from his album GOLDEN has climbed up two spots to 85th on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s been on the chart for an impressive 12 weeks in a row.

Jungkook’s songs spent a total of 60 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with 6 songs including Standing Next to You (12 Weeks), Seven (15 Weeks), 3D (9 Weeks), the webtoon OST Stay Alive (1 Week), Left and Right (17 Weeks), and Too Much (6 Weeks). This is a groundbreaking achievement, and he’s the first and only Asian solo singer to accomplish this record. 

Jungkook made history as the first and only K-pop solo singer to have three songs in a row in the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Seven took 1st place, followed by 3D and Standing Next to You at 5th place. 

Jungkook showed his talent as the first and only Asian solo singer to have four songs Seven, 3D, Standing Next to You, and Too Much) on the Hot 100 chart for two consecutive weeks. 

His album GOLDEN reached the 58th spot on the ‘Billboard 200’ chart, which is the main album chart. It stayed on the chart for a whopping 12 weeks, making it the longest-running album by a K-pop solo singer. 

In other news, Jungkook has been promoted to a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) in 2024.
