As Byun Woo Seok walked through the bustling gates of Incheon International Airport, his stylish outfit and towering height turned heads.

On July 12, the Lovely Runner actor departed for Hong Kong for his Summer Letter fanmeeting there.

His stylish airport look featured a backward baseball cap, stadium jacket, and black jeans, drawing attention with his tall height and sleek outfit.

The sighting of Byeon Woo Seok by fans at the airport has stirred up a debate regarding the aggressive behavior of his security team.  A netizen questioned their overzealous approach in a post on social media.

A netizen who was at the airport shared, “What are the odds of running into Sun-jae [His character name in Lovely Runner] at the airport when I’m about to travel with my dad?”

In the post, it was shared that the 32-year-old actor appeared in the lounge flanked by bodyguards. Despite wearing a hat and mask, Byun Woo-seok’s tall stature and entourage made him hard to miss. Fans snapped photos from a distance, respecting his personal space.

But then, the bodyguard unexpectedly flashed a light at fans who were waiting in the lounge and did not try to approach the actor.

The incident caused a big stir about excessive security. Even though Byeon Woo Seok didn’t do anything wrong, he got criticized because his bodyguard used a camera flash in the lounge, disturbing people who were trying to relax.

Previously, Varo Entertainment warned fans to not approach the actor and visit filming sets. In addition, he faced privacy invasion by sasaengs in Taipei, which might be the reason for excessive security.

On the work front, Byeon Woo Seok played Ryu Sun Jae in tvN’s Lovely Runner.
