C9 Entertainment Under Fire for ‘Inadequate’ Response to Porn Star’s Comments About Cignature’s Jeewon

The controversy surrounding an AV actress’s inappropriate remarks about Cignature’s Jeewon has taken a new turn, with C9 Entertainment’s response to the situation sparking widespread outrage and disappointment among fans and netizens.

The agency’s statement, which many deemed insufficient and tone-deaf, has only added fuel to the fire.

A recent episode of the YouTube show ‘No Back Tak Jae Hoon’ has sparked outrage, as Japanese adult film star Yuna Ogura made a controversial suggestion to Cignature member and intern MC Jeewon, asking her to debut as a porn star.

At the show, Yuna Ogura said that she would become a top AV actress since she has a nice body.

A lot of people thought the comments were out of line and started complaining to C9 Entertainment, saying the company was still sexualizing the idol.

On June 21, C9 Entertainment released a statement on X, stating, “Regarding the controversy that occurred in the episode featuring Tanaka & Ogura Yuna, we had a serious conversation with Jeewon about the contents over a long period of time.”

The agency seemed to be in favor of the content, “Jeewon did her best in filming according to the concept of No Back Tak Jae Hoon Broadcast and did not have any emotional problems.”

C9 Entertainment mentioned that the 25-year-old singer had no issues with the broadcast version approved by the production team beforehand, staying true to her role on the No Back Tak Jae Hoon channel.

The agency plans to maintain good communication with the production team of the show. They asked fans to look forward to seeing Jeewon shine confidently in her role as a member of No Back Tak Jae Hoon.

Fans are upset that C9 Entertainment didn’t take their concerns seriously and seemed okay with the controversial remarks.

It has questions about the company’s handling of the situation and its priorities when it comes to protecting its artist’s reputation.

On the work front, Cignature released their 5th EP Sweetie But Saltie on June 10.
