Choreographer Kelly Sweeney Accused ILLIT for Copying her Choreography ‘move for move’ without Permission

ILLIT

ILLIT faces escalating plagiarism allegations, with new evidence emerging daily that suggests the group has copied NewJeans’ work. The repeated accusations raise serious concerns about ILLIT’s creative authenticity.

In a new development, ILLIT is facing plagiarism allegations from a different source. Kelly Sweeney, a Mexican-American choreographer, has accused the group of copying her choreography.

A video posted by the choreographer on February 6, three months ago, is now going viral.

A side-by-side video comparison shows ILLIT and Kelly Sweeney performing very similar dance routines, raising concerns about plagiarism.

The 22-year-old choreographer called out HYBE, BELIFT LAB, and ILLIT for copying her choreography ‘move by move’, stating, “As an artist and choreographer, someone who devotes their life to creating original moves and does this as a living,” and added “It’s frustrating to see people take your steps without any credit.”

She went on to say, “As flattered as I am that their choreographer liked it so much as to learn it, change the song, and do it for their video,” and continued, “It’s NEVER okay to plagiarize and not give credit.”

She tagged official pages of HYBE, BELIFT LAB, and ILLIT, asking them to do better.

ILLIT and NewJeans have been at the center of the attention as the HYBE-ADOR feud escalates with each passing day.
