Chuu Confirms January 2026 Comeback With First Studio Album

CHUU

Chuu has officially confirmed that she will make a comeback in January next year with her first full-length solo album. On November 20, her agency ATRP announced that she is preparing a studio album that will capture her truest “now.” The 26-year-old singer will combine everything she has built musically into one complete world.

According to the agency, this album won’t just rely on her usual bright and lovable image but will show a new side of Chuu

She first stepped out as a solo artist with her debut mini-album Howl in October 2023. She continued to develop her discography with the digital single Chocolate in February last year, followed by her second mini-album Strawberry Rush on June 25, 2024. Each release showed her moving into new ideas, emotions, and genres.

Her most recent mini-album, Only Cry in the Rain, released on April 21, 2025, was an important moment in her growth. The album focused on deeper emotions, a more mature vocal style, and a heartfelt message for young listeners. Many fans and listeners felt that this release showed just how much she had evolved as an artist.

Now, with her first full-length album scheduled for January 2026, Chuu is preparing to take an even bigger leap.

Alongside her music career, she has also been expanding into acting. In the summer of this year, she appeared in the KBS2 romantic comedy drama My Girlfriend Is the Man!, where she played Kang Min Joo, a cheerful and popular university student known as the “hot girl.” She shared that the role was incredibly rewarding and that she hopes to experiment with more diverse characters in future projects.

Before her album arrives, Chuu will hold her second solo fan concert, CHUU 2ND TINY-CON – When the first snow falls, meet there, at the Shinhan Card SOL Pay Square Live Hall on December 13 and 14.

This continues her “TINY” concept, which focuses on creating a small, intimate space where she can meet fans closely and comfortably. Her fans, known as CODDY, are already looking forward to the event.
