DAY6’s Agency Issues Apology After Jakarta Concert Delayed Due to Bad Weather

DAY6

The DAY6 Jakarta concert faced a rough start due to issues with local promoter MECIMAPRO, including a sudden venue change and altered seating layout. Due to a scheduling issue, the concert venue was switched from Jakarta International Stadium to GBK Madya Stadium at the last minute. Things only got worse on the day of the concert, as bad weather and poor management added to the attendees’ frustration.

JYP Entertainment has issued a formal apology to fans after severe weather conditions led to significant delays and operational challenges during DAY6’s “FOREVER YOUNG” tour stop in Jakarta on May 3. The agency cited heavy rain and technical difficulties as the primary causes for the disruptions. This left MY DAYs (DAY6’s fandom) waiting for hours before the show could proceed.

On May 4, JYP Entertainment apologized with an official statement, stating

We would like to start by apologizing to the fans who have supported DAY6.

On May 3rd, DAY6 held their 3rd World Tour “Forever Young” concert in Jakarta.

Due to unforeseen circumstances with the local promoter, the event management was not smooth, and we were unable to provide adequate on-site response and safety measures in the face of bad weather.

As a result, the sound check and concert start time were delayed. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to fans who waited for a long time in the bad weather and also to the artists who did their best despite the difficult situation, thinking of their fans.

We take full responsibility for this incident and are deeply sorry. In the future, we will do our best to ensure that our artists can focus on their performances under the best conditions, and we will take careful measures to ensure that fans can enjoy the concert without any inconvenience.

Once again, we apologize for the concern caused to all the fans who attended the DAY6 concert. Thank you.
