Rumors linking actors Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Do Hoon romantically have been firmly denied by their respective agencies.
On September 20, the speculation began after a photo of the two at Nha Trang Airport in Vietnam in May circulated online. The photo showing them together sparked gossip across various communities.
Awesome ENT, representing Kim Yoo Jung, stated, “The rumors about Kim Do Hoon and Kim Yoo Jung dating are completely unfounded. They were on a team-building trip (MT) after finishing the filming of ‘Dear X.’”
Similarly, Peak J Entertainment, representing Kim Do Hoon, explained, “The photos of Kim Do Hoon spotted in Nha Trang were taken during a group trip with the cast and staff of ‘Dear X.’ Although only the two of them appear in the photos, other actors and staff, including the director of photography, were also present at the time.”
Both agencies emphasized that the rumors were based on a misunderstanding and called the speculation “absurd.”
Dear X, scheduled to premiere on November 6, 2025, is a highly anticipated melo-thriller adapted from a popular Naver Webtoon. The series stars Kim Yoo Jung as Baek Ah Jin, a top actress who masks her ruthless ambition behind a charming exterior. Kim Do Hoon as Kim Jae Oh, a man who has been close to her since childhood and finds purpose through their complex relationship.
Kim Young Dae, the male lead, stars as Yoon Joon Seo, a loyal character who prioritizes protecting Baek Ah Jon even at great personal sacrifice. It is helmed by Lee Eung Bok, known for his work on Sweet Home, and co-directed by Park So Hyun.
The first two episodes of ‘Dear X’ were recently screened at the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in the ‘On Screen’ section on September 18, 2025.
The series also faced a minor controversy involving a poster that drew plagiarism claims, which the production team promptly addressed and apologized for.
