Emma Stone Recalls BTS SNL Night as “Unbelievable,” Hopes to Attend Tour

Academy Award-winning actress Emma Stone has revealed to be part of the global fandom of BTS. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the Hollywood star shared her admiration for the K-pop group and revealed that she hopes to attend their comeback tour.

In addition, she shared her excitement for Bad Bunny’s performance at the Super Bowl and her love for the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack. 

During a wide-ranging conversation about her interests beyond acting, Stone spoke warmly about BTS and described the moment that turned her into a fan. The two-time Oscar winner is known for her performances in La La Land, Bugonia, Eddington, and Poor Things

While talking to Rolling Stone, she said her connection to BTA began with a memorable experience on Saturday Night Live.

“I’ve Never Heard Pandemonium Like That”

Emma Stone traced her BTS fandom back to April 2019, when she hosted Saturday Night Live while BTS appeared as the musical guest. The episode aired on April 13, 2019, and has since become one of the most talked-about moments in the show’s history.

“That was one of the coolest experiences ever,” the 37-year-old actress told Rolling Stone. She added, “I have never heard pandemonium like that at SNL.” She told fans had been lining up outside for days just to get inside, and the energy was impossible to ignore. 

According to Stone, that night left a lasting impression on her, “That was what really kicked into high gear my passion for BTS.” She remembered how fans filled the area around 30 Rockefeller Plaza days ahead of the show.

During that episode, BTS introduced their songs “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey and “Mic Drop,”  to a massive American television audience. 

Emma Stone Hopes to See BTS Live on Tour

Emma Stone’s admiration did not end with that single night. She shared that she now hopes to experience a full BTS concert in person.

The ‘Poor Things’ actress shared, “I very much would like to go see them on tour.” She shared that attending one of their shows is something she truly wants to do, especially now that the group is back with new music and a world tour.

BTS is set to return with their fifth studio album, Arirang, released on March 20. The album launch came with the announcement of the ‘ARIRANG’ World Tour, scheduled to run from 2026 to 2027. 

The response has been overwhelming, with the first 41 stadium shows in North America and Europe selling out immediately and more than 2.4 million tickets sold.

The album itself has already made history, becoming the most pre-saved album by an Asian artist on Spotify.

Emma Stone now joins a long list of well-known BTS fans across different industries. Over the years, celebrities such as Chris Hemsworth, Shawn Mendes, Halsey, Lily Collins, James Corden, John Cena, and NFL star J.J. Watt have all publicly shared their admiration for the group.

Meanwhile, BTS will officially begin their live return with a free concert at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21. The event will be streamed live worldwide on Netflix, allowing fans around the globe, including Emma Stone herself, to watch in real time.
