Thai thriller fans have something exciting to look forward to this month: Enigma Season 2. The popular series Enigma is officially back for a second season, titled Enigma Black Stage. After winning viewers over with its mix of mystery, horror, and teen drama in 2023, the show is set to return with even bigger secrets and darker twists.
The second season will take the story from a high school to the glamorous world of theatre. Since Enigma Black Stage airs this month, here’s everything you need to know: the plot twist, release date, cast, trailer, and more.
Enigma Black Stage Release Date
Enigma Black Stage will premiere on July 26, 2025, on ONE31, airing every Saturday at 8:30 PM ICT. For international audiences, the thriller will also be available to stream on Netflix Thailand.
Since season 1 wrapped up in 2023, fans have been eagerly searching for answers to one big question: when is Enigma season 2 coming out? Luckily, they don’t have to wait long, just a couple more weeks.
Enigma Season 2 Trailer
The Engima Black Stage official trailer dropped on July 12 and quickly grabbed thousands of views in a day. Just like Season 1, the trailer hints at dark secrets, black magic, and hidden dangers.
But this time, the threat lurks behind stage curtains and bright spotlights. The trailer opens with Ajin saying, “Who would have thought putting black magic in the hands of someone who understands showbiz would mess with our heads this much?”
Plot
Season 2 leaves the high school corridors behind and moves into the competitive world of acting and stage plays. The story follows Phlengphin, played by Toey Jarinporn Joonkiat, an ambitious young actress hoping to win the lead role in a new play called The Bloom and a Thousand Bees, led by secretive Ray. She is recruited and trained by Ajin, who suspects something dark is at play.
Phlengphin is not the only one with dreams; three other women want the same spotlight: Jiw, a skilled dancer; MyDay, an influencer chasing fame; and Anya, an actress with secrets of her own.
However, landing the lead isn’t the only thing at stake. As the competition heats up, strange things start happening backstage. Shadowy figures watch the girls’ every move.
Only now, they have found a new stage for their rituals. Right in the middle of it all is Ajin, played again by Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, who steps in to guide and protect Phlengphin. His return suggests that the same black magic cult that haunted Fa in the first season is far from defeated.
Cast and Characters
Returning fan favorite Metawin is back as Ajin, the teacher with a hidden past and knowledge of the occult. Joining him is Toey Jarinporn Joonkiat as Phlengphin, who brings a fresh new dynamic to the story.
New faces include Prariyapit Yu as Jiu, Thishar Thurachon as MyDay, Tipnaree Weerawatnodom as Anya, and Niti Chaichitathorn as Ray.
Director Patha Thongpan, who helped shape the first season’s suspenseful tone, is also back to lead the second season.
With the same creative team on board, fans can expect the new story to keep the same creepy vibe but with even higher stakes.
Why Are Fans Excited
When Enigma first aired, it stood out for mixing student life with horror, cults, and black magic, something few Thai dramas had done before. Season 2 is ready to push those ideas further.
Since the trailer dropped, social media has been buzzing with theories about Ajin’s true plans, Phlengphin’s fate, and just how far the cult will go this time. Some fans think the play itself might be part of a bigger ritual, while others wonder who will survive once the final curtain falls.
Mark your calendars for July 26 as Engima Black Stage premieres on ONE31 and Netflix Thailand.
