EXID’s Hani and Yang Jae Woong’s Wedding Postponed Following Patient’s Death Controversy

Hani and Yang Jae Woong

EXID’s Hani and Yang Jae Woong’s wedding has been postponed indefinitely.

On September 3, Mystic Story confirmed the news to Dispatch, stating, “Yang Jae Woong has postponed his wedding with Hani,” and added, “The new wedding date is currently being discussed and has not been confirmed yet.”

Their September wedding has been postponed due to a controversy surrounding a patient’s death at Yang’s mental hospital in May. Although Yang’s response to the incident was criticized, the couple has not broken up.

Their agency confirmed that they are still together, and the postponement is solely due to the current circumstances.

Earlier there were rumors that Hani and Yang Jae Woong would postpone their wedding, however, it is only confirmed now.

A patient died at Yang Jae Woong’s hospital in May after being treated for diet drug addiction. The autopsy showed that the cause of death was a blockage in the intestines.

The patient’s family was outraged and protested outside the hospital for over a month, demanding justice. They also filed a complaint against Yang Jae Woong and five other staff members, accusing them of neglect and abandonment.

He apologized through his agency, but the patient’s mother was not satisfied, saying that the apology was only meant to silence public criticism.
