EXO’s D.O. Leaves Agency Founded by Former SM Manager, Refuses to Give 50% Ownership

EXO's D.O. (Doh Kyung Soo)

EXO’s D.O. (Doh Kyungsoo) has parted ways with his agency, Company Soosoo, after two years of working together.

According to multiple reports on November 4, D.O.’s exclusive contract with the agency expired earlier this month, and both sides decided not to renew.

Shortly after, an agency official told Star News, “Doh Kyungsoo’s contract expired earlier this month,” adding, “We have decided not to renew it.”

The singer-actor first signed with Company Soosoo in November 2023, shortly after leaving SM Entertainment. At the time, he opted to partner with Nam Kyung Soo — a former SM manager who had worked closely with him for years.

The EXO member is reportedly refusing to give up his 50% ownership in Company Soosoo, even as he prepares to officially leave the agency. He informed the company that he would not be renewing his contract, which ends on December 7, but has made it clear he will not sell his shares. It has been confirmed that D.O. owns half of Company Soosoo, which was established in July 2023 with a capital of 100 million won by his longtime manager.

When D.O. left SM in November that same year, he joined Soosoo and was granted a 50% stake, becoming a registered director. The agency, now valued between 15 to 20 billion won in just two years, was built around him.

Their partnership was described as friendly and built on mutual trust, and their parting seems to be just as amicable. Sources say D.O. is now reviewing several offers from top management companies, and taking his time to decide where he will go next.

Company Soosoo also shared that it will continue to support D.O. in wrapping up his scheduled activities. This includes the final shows of his DO it! Asia tour, which concludes in Seoul on December 6-7. Company SooSoo will manage Doh Kyungsoo’s activities till the encore shows in December.

Over the past two years, D.O. has balanced his dual careers as both a singer and an actor with impressive success. His second solo concert tour DO it! was praised for his warm vocals and genuine stage presence. Earlier this year, he showed his range as an actor in the film Secret: The Untold Melody.

Even with this agency change, fans don’t need to worry about his group activities. D.O. will remain a member of EXO, and his promotions with the group will still be coordinated through SM Entertainment. He is part of the EXO 2026 comeback lineup, which also includes Suho, Kai, Sehun, Lay, and Chanyeol.

Before EXO’s comeback in early 2026, D.O. will make his acting comeback in a strong villain role in the Disney+ series, The Manipulated, airing on November 5.
