Red light, green light, get ready for more! Filming for Squid Game Seasons 2 and 3 has reportedly wrapped up.
As reported by OSEN on June 14, the cast and crew of Netflix’s hit series Squid Game have finally wrapped up filming for Seasons 2 and 3 after an 11-month shoot that began in July last year and ended in June this year. To mark this milestone, the team celebrated with a 2-day, 1-night party in Gapyeong on June 11 and 12.
The cast and crew celebrated with many fun activities, a barbecue, and a sendoff ceremony to wish for the show’s success.
Despite Netflix’s earlier denial, sources close to the production have confirmed that Squid Game Seasons 2 and 3 were filmed back-to-back, as first reported by OSEN last year. According to insiders, the show’s creators treated the two seasons as a single, continuous story arc, with a unified filming schedule.
Squid Game is expected to follow a similar release pattern as The Glory, with Season 2 comprising 6 episodes and Season 3 likely to have 6 or 7 episodes.
With minimal delay between the two seasons, fans will not have to wait months or a year to watch the third season.
Squid Game 2 includes Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Gong Yoo, Park Gyu Young, Park Sung Hoon, Jo Yuri, Wi Ha Jun, and more.
The first season of Squid Game was released in September 2021 and became one of the most-watched shows on Netflix. Now, it is confirmed to be released in the second half of 2024, returning for a second season after 3 years
