After years away from the music scene, former BIGBANG member T.O.P returned as a solo artist with the release of his first full-length album, Another Dimension. The project, released on April 3, was his first major music release since 2013’s “Doom Dada.”
The comeback comes after the 38-year-old singer spent time focusing on acting, most notably appearing as Thanos in Netflix’s Squid Game. In interviews leading up to the album’s release, he said he spent much of the past decade working on music behind the scenes. He described the 11-track album as music built from “multiple perspectives.”
Unlike his previous releases, Another Dimension is a deeply personal project. It features the double title tracks “Studio54” and “Desperado.” T.O.P took an active role in writing, producing, and shaping the overall creative direction. The album also features artwork by acclaimed American artist Ed Ruscha, while Squid Game art director Chae Kyoung Sun contributed to its visual concept.

With Another Dimension and a tour, T.O.P has made it clear that his focus is back on music. The album has been described as the first chapter of a longer creative journey. So, more releases could follow in the coming years.
